Demolition complete, preliminary plans drawn, waiting for renovation to begin
With its two slightly protruding wings, 415 Day Avenue’s architecture is different from the other homes on the block. The home’s symmetry produces an aura of solidity, but one with a hint of playfulness suggested by the structure’s off-center roof peak and dormer. Since evidence from demolition indicated that the home once sported a second-story front porch, a new second story porch will be added during renovation. Features of this home include two fireplaces and wood flooring. This home was one of those shown on a 1907 survey of the block, so it was one of the earliest on the block.
